Gutters
Water off the roof, away from the house.
Gutters, downspouts and the fascia behind them — pitched and sized so the water goes where it should.
Gutters
Gutters are where roofing meets the foundation.
A roof can be perfect and still cause damage if the water dumps at the wall.
Undersized gutters overflow in a downpour, sagging ones hold water and ice, and rotten fascia gives the hangers nothing solid to bite.
So we look at the whole path: drip edge, gutter, hangers, the fascia behind them, and where the downspouts discharge.
- New gutters and downspouts, sized and pitched for the roof above.
- Fascia and drip edge checked and repaired before anything is hung.
- Downspouts routed to take water away from the foundation.
- Gutters cleared of debris at the end of every roofing job.

Gutters
Best done with the roof.
Drip edge, starter course and gutter all meet at the same three inches of roof. Doing them together is cleaner, quicker and means one crew is responsible for the whole edge.
Questions
Gutters, answered.
Do you replace fascia as well as gutters?
Yes — there is no point hanging new gutters off rotten wood, so the fascia and drip edge get checked first and repaired where they need it.
Can gutters be done at the same time as a new roof?
That is the ideal time. The drip edge and starter course are being replaced anyway, so the whole edge of the roof gets finished as one job.
My gutters overflow in heavy rain. Is that a blockage?
Sometimes. It can also be pitch, size, or a valley dumping more water into one length than it can carry. We will look at it properly rather than just cleaning it out and hoping.
Do you clear gutters after roofing work?
Always. Debris from a tear-off gets cleared out before we leave, as part of the job.
